Browseflow Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 29, 2026

Overview

Browseflow is a browser automation extension that enables AI agents to interact with web pages. This policy explains how Browseflow handles your data.

Data Collection

Browseflow does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

All operations happen locally on your device:

  • No browsing history is collected
  • No cookies or session data is sent to external servers
  • No screenshots leave your device
  • No form data or passwords are stored

Permissions Explained

Browseflow requests the following permissions to enable browser automation:

  • tabs — List and manage browser tabs
  • activeTab — Access the current tab when activated
  • scripting — Execute automation scripts on pages
  • debugger — Capture network requests and simulate user input
  • cookies — Read cookies for session management (local only)
  • storage — Store extension settings locally
  • downloads — Trigger file downloads when requested
  • nativeMessaging — Communicate with the local MCP server
  • host_permissions (<all_urls>) — Automate any website

These permissions are required for AI agents to interact with web pages. All data accessed through these permissions stays on your local machine.

Local Communication

Browseflow communicates with a local MCP (Model Context Protocol) server running on your machine. This communication happens via:

  • Chrome Native Messaging (localhost only)
  • Local TCP connection (127.0.0.1)

No data is sent to external servers or the internet.

Third-Party Services

Browseflow does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or data collection services.

Data Security

Since all data remains on your local machine, security depends on your device's security. We recommend:

  • Keep your operating system updated
  • Use strong passwords for your device
  • Only connect trusted AI agents to Browseflow

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the extension. Significant changes will be communicated through the extension's update notes.
