Git Crypt Guard

Keep track of git-crypt protection directly in your IDE, without unlocking the repository.

Repository inspection does not read keys or decrypt contents. Native viewing requires your consent and macOS authentication. It supports read-only text up to 64 KiB with basic Latin and Cyrillic glyphs.

Remote Development supports repository inspection and protected file cards; native secret viewing is available only in a local macOS IDE. Header observations do not authenticate encryption or provide a comprehensive security guarantee. OS/framework persistence and deliberate access by another process with your user permissions are outside the protection guarantee.
